This policy explains what cookies we set, why, and how you can control them.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember information between pages and across visits. Some cookies are set by us (first-party), while others are set by services we rely on (third-party).

How consent works

When you first visit sailsrep.ai from the EU, the EEA, the UK or Switzerland you are shown a consent banner. Only strictly necessary cookies are active until you make a choice, and no cookie-setting analytics or marketing script is requested at all before you choose, or if you decline. That includes Google Tag Manager and everything it carries: Microsoft Clarity, Leadinfo, Apollo.io and the Microsoft advertising tags. LinkedIn Insight and PostHog are loaded the same way, only after consent.

One exception, and it is deliberate. Google Analytics loads on the first page view under Google Consent Mode with every consent signal set to denied. In that state it sets no cookie and stores no identifier on your device: it counts the page view and nothing else. If you allow analytics, the denied signals are updated and it starts using the cookies listed below. If you decline, it stays in the cookieless state for the rest of your visit.

Visitors outside the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are not shown the banner and are treated as having allowed all categories. We work out where you are from your browser's time zone and language settings rather than by looking up your IP address, and we show the banner whenever that is unclear. You can open the banner and change your choices at any time with the button below.

These cookies are required for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They handle things like saving your cookie preferences and enabling core site features.

Analytics

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the website: which pages are visited most, how long sessions last, and where visitors come from. All data is aggregated and anonymous.

Marketing

Marketing cookies are used to understand which companies visit our website. We do not currently run advertising campaigns, so this data is used solely for visitor insights.
